Ruth Matete who is a young
Millionaire in East Africa having recently been declared the winner of Tusker
Project fame season five is our guest in today column of Artist of the Time.
She pocketed Kshs 5 Million
prize money and a recording contract with Universal Music group worth Kshs 10
Million. The 26 years old lady will also get a one year medical insurance cover
from Resolution health`s Crystal plan, receive musical classes with Maranatha
college of music.
She will also be given a
Samsung Plasma LED Television as well as a full time bodyguard from G4S group
for a period of one year. Ruth began her singing career in Church where she
sang for other children in Sunday school. She attributes her success to music
to her Sunday school Teacher, music teachers in schools she attended in Kenya
and to her father Abel Amunga who is an actor in an opera soap movie aired on
one of the Television station in Kenya.
