Tunisian club Esperance Sportive de Zarzis signs Rwandan striker

Tunisian premier league club Esperance Sportive de Zarzis has signed Rwandan
striker Meddie Kagere, 26 for a two-year contract with the side,
Sports sources revealed on  Monday in Kigali.
The transfer fee is estimated at a total of 150,000 U.S. dollars, according to a statement issued by the Rwanda Football Federation. It is said that the Ugandan born striker is now ready to open a new page in his brilliant professional career, according to the same source.  Kagere is known to have made several Rwanda national-team appearances during the recently concluded regional competition of Confederation of Central and East African Football Associations, and was rated as one of the top scorer during this regional tournament  while playing for  the Rwanda national football team also nicknamed "Amavubi".
Before signing the contract with the Tunisian club, Kagere had been recently a target for many clubs in the region including mainly Bidvest Wits FC (South Africa), Pretoria FC
(South Africa), Gor Mahia (Kenya), St. George (Ethiopia) and the Rwanda's most successful military side APR FC.  (Xinhua)
