3. Police seize 30 kg of cannabis in Burundi's Cankuzo province
BUJUMBURA, Aug 1 (Xinhua) -- Police in the Burundian eastern province of Cankuzo on Tuesday seized 30 kilograms of cannabis from a businessman in Mishiha in the province of Cankuzo, the police commissioner in Cankuzo told Xinhua by phone on Wednesday.
"The cannabis trafficker was traveling in an OTRACO state-owned passenger bus and was arrested at Kirehe after police agents suspected his three packs. He had wrapped 10 kilograms of cannabis inside each of three packs of sorghum," said Police Commissioner in Cankuzo Donatien Manirakiza.
Manirakiza said the trafficker was intercepted in a bus coming from Mishiha bordering with Tanzania, when he was heading to the Burundian capital Bujumbura.
According to Donatien Manirakiza, the man was arrested and taken to a custody in Cankuzo for further investigations.(Xinhua)
