Know your County MPS:West Pokot County




West Pokot County which is found in the expansive Rift Valley Province is home to among others one of the famous Kenyan female runners who doubles up as a Peace Ambassador.

There are 3 Constituencies in West Pokot County, which are Sigor, Kacheliba and Kapenguria.

1.Sigor
Wilson Litle

A former long serving District Commissioner among them in Siaya District Wilson Mwotiny Litole is the Member of Parliament for Sigor Constituency.

Litole according to the constituent in Sigor have not seen him exhibit properly the skills he had as a Provincial Administrator though they rate him as an average performer but wonder why his voice is not heard well in the National Assembly.

2.Kacheliba
Information Minister in the Government of Kenya Mr. Poghisio, Samuel Losuron is the Member of Parliament for Kacheliba constituency.

He holds a Masters from Daystar University and Wheaton College, Lincoln and was once a Lecturer at the Daystar University and a Teacher at Chewoyet Secondary School.

His development record in the Constituency is rated as average while his Constituent complain that the much that he has talked in Parliament concerns Government and not their plight, which they have challenged him to improve on.


He has an interest in reading, travelling and networking with hobbies in Golf, Football, Athletics and ICT.

His MESSAGE TO KENYANS is “Tribalism should be shunned by all”

3.Kapenguria
Rev.Julius Recha Murgor is the current Member of Parliament for Kapenguria Constituency.

Rev.Murgor is reported as an average performer in his constituency but his constituent can`t remember the day he stood in Parliament to speak.
