New AMISOM spokesman takes office in Somalia.

Newly appointed spokesman for the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), Col. Ali Adam Hamud from Djibouti took office from former spokesman Capt. Paddy Nkunda of Uganda`s  UPDF force on Saturday, July 07.
At a joint press conference held at AMISOM compound in Mogadishu, the two officials transferred the office as the former spokesman declared that Col. Ali Adam Hamud will be from now on in be in-charge of AMISOM’s information office.
Meanwhile a Somali journalist survived an assassination attempt near his home in Madina District, Mogadishu on Saturday evening, around 6:00 pm local time when two unidentified gunmen approached him and shot him four times.
Two other unidentified gunmen same Saturday shot and seriously injured a reporter and anchor working for a Television station called the Universal Television, one journalist sustained four gunshot wounds from stomach, and right leg.
