Koffi Annan
is the former 7th Secretary General of the United Nations and the
black African to head that organization. He was born on April 08,1938 in Kumasi,
Ghana.
He is an
Internationally renowned Peacemaker and has travelled all over the world and in
different parts of the world hit by turmoil and disasters preaching Peace. He studied
at the University of Science and Technology, Macalester College, Institute for
Advanced International Studies in Geneva, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
In
2001, the Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded Annan and the United Nations the
famous Peace Prize. In conferring the prize, the Nobel Committee said Annan
"had been pre-eminent in bringing new life to the organization."
