Stars to play Angola and Cameroon

By Fred Maingi
After Harambee Stars sterling performance  against Bafana Bafana on Tuesday evening in an international friendly, more countries have shown interest in playing with the Stars. The latest requests have come from Angola and Cameroon.
According to FKF Chairman Sam Nyamweya, the two have already sent requests to play with Harambee Stars. The FKF  Boss has promised Kenya will play between three  to four friendlies before they play Nigeria in a World Cup Qualifier next year.
Angola sent a request to come and play with us and so has Cameroon. I want to assure all Kenyan fans that by the time we play with Nigeria, we will have played at least three  to four friendlies. These will help our team gain confidence ahead of the important matches to come,” Nyamweya said on Wednesday morning.
On the same breath the FKF Chairman has also congratulated the national team for their gallant show against Bafana Bafana despite losing.
“We all saw the kind of football that the team played and everyone is pleased. The Coach had only three days to blend the international players and the local ones and he did a good job. We will support the team fully as well as the coach because the prospects are good,” Nyamweya adds.
