FKF Chairman Sam Nyamweya said hosting the friendly match will be a gigantic affair that will involve a stake in all area’s in terms of organizations and money involved.
The match will involve air ticket for the match officials, and accommodation and in-house transport for both the referees and the South Africa team..
“ As a result, added Nyamweya,we need more sponsor’s to come on board and support the team. The only sponsor we have is East Africa Breweries Limited(EABL) who have injected Shs.110m that is spread in three years”
He urged more sponsors to step in, adding that the budget of hosting the 1996 African Champions (South Africa)for the friendly match on Tuesday October 16 run into tens of millions.
“Organising such events is normally very expensive. This upcoming friendly match alone will cost the federation more than ten million shillings, so it is our appeal that more sponsors come on board to help us build a strong national team,” he said .
