Somali PM believes Al-Shabaab will be wiped out before August

Mohammed Ali, the Prime Minister of Transitional Federal Government of Somalia,
declared that his government is willing to end the reign of al Shabaab
militants in the country before 20 August this year, the ending point of the Transitional
period.
Speaking
with our reporter in Mogadishu on Wednesday,June 27, Somali PM said Transitional Federal Government troops and the African
Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) forces will continue fighting against Al
-Shabaab fighters until peace and stability is restored throughout the nation.
“Our
plan is to eradicate the Islamist Al- Shabaab militants-linked with Al- Qaeda out
of their last stronghold in Somalia before August and set a local
administrations under Somalia’s Transitional Fedaral Government (TFG),” Somali
PM,said.
Meanwhile the leader of the largest workers trade union in Kenya COTU Mr Francis Atwoli has called upon Kenyans to take the issue of terrorism very seriously and advised the country`s intelligence and investigative arms to be on high alert,Atwoli during an interview on a local TV station K24 called Capital Talk hosted by a former Kenyan International reporter Jeff Koinange on the night of Wednesday,June 27 that he would prefer the Kenyan police department of Criminal Investigation Unit (CID) to work like the era of retired Kenyan President Daniel Arap Moi when they were regarded as among the best on African continent.
