Azam of Tanzania fires Coach

Tanzania’s Vodacom Premier League side Azam FC have terminated the contract of their Serbian Coach Boris Bunjak with immediate effect. The Coach had taken over after then Coach Stewart John Hall was shown the door after fielding Mrisho Ngassa in the Finals of the CECAFA Kagame Cup in July, contrary to instructions from above.
According to bongostaz.blogspot, a leading Tanzanian football blog, Azam want Stewart John Hall back. Hall  joined Kenyan side Sofapaka but has yet again returned to the club.
The main reason for Bunjak’s sacking has been the team’s poor run of form. Azam are currently fourth on the VPL table with 18 points after nine matches.
Stewart Hall was the club’s most successful coach in its short history having led them to their best ever league finish, third place as well as the finals of the CECAFA Kagame Cup in their first ever attempt. Hall has been slowly changing Sofapaka’s face and was planning for a long term face of the team.
Bunjak is the 4th Azam Coach to be shown the door in the clubs five year history with the billionaire owner Said Bakhressa hungry for nothing else but results.
