Al Ahly clinch African CAF Champions league







Egyptian side Al Ahly beat African CAF Champions League holders Esperance of Tunisia 2-1 on Saturday 17 November 2012 to lift a record seventh African club Champions crown.
Mohamed Nagy "Gedo” sent Al Ahly 0-1 up on 43 minutes then added a second two minutes past the hour mark through Walid Soliman in the game played at the Rades Olympique Stadium.
Esperance, the winners of the ultimate African Club Cup in 2011, got a goal on 85 minutes through Hervé Yannick N'Djeng, a goal that turned out to be a consolation in the second leg tie.
During the first leg played Sunday 4 November 2012, Esperance forced Al Ahly to a 1-1 draw at the Borg El Arab Stadium.
The win earns Al Ahly $1.5 million with Esperance taking the runner up purse of $1 million.
