Aspirants from Kamba Community in Nairobi support Kidero

Nairobi Governor Aspirant Dr Evans Kidero has received a major boost after Parliamentary and Civic aspirants from Kamba community in Nairobi County drawn  from various political divide declared their support for his bid.

The aspirants led by Former assistant Minister for tourism and Tip Tip Party leader  Kalembe Ndile who was accompanied by the National Chairlady of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Women league Ms Beth Syeng’o amongst other Kamba aspirants.

‘We are out to mobilize Kamba community in Nairobi to fully support you to capture the governor seat regardless of tribal factor but as a result of your proven track record of Managing top institutions in the Country,” Said Kalembe who is also a former MP for Kibwezi.

Appealing to the aspirants to vote for him as a Governor Kidero said that he will work with other partners to increase investments in infrastructure development to cater for the Kamba traders.

“I am offering myself to you as a Kenyan, not a ruler but to be your servant Governor who will heal wounds, address many challenges facing Nairobians and develop Nairobi. Observe listen to me and support me without reference to my ethnic consideration,” he added.


In another development, Kidero asked  the government to  speed up talks with the teachers to end the nationwide strike which he termed it as a nuisance to  the entire education sector which has paralyzed learning for ``common`` children.He  called on the two principles to break their silence and step in to address the crisis.


Drumming  up support for Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s 2013 Presidency, Kidero said that for the sake of unity he will work with all tribes together to foster unity in Nairobi, in a remarkable way and asked Kenyans to scrutinize thoroughly  the policies and visions  of aspirants   with  their political parties before electing them in next year`s General election.
“ I am in ODM to stay and we know there are those working day and night in the hope that they can spoil for Raila Odinga, their agenda is not to win the elections but to spoil for Raila,” Said Kidero.

Accompanied by Youth, Women, ODM officials from Embakasi constituency led by Councilor Rose Kula, Embakasi east parliamentary aspirant John Ogutu Omondi, Kidero reiterated Nairobi is at cross roads with evils of insecurity, lack of better roads within the slums, poor drainage systems and wounds of past political competition.

“I will work on the solutions in order to ensure Nairobi emerges stronger and united to face the challenges ahead just as I did while I was
the CEO of GlaxoSmithKline, Nation Media group and most recently Mumias Sugar Company where I served for close to 9 years,``said Kidero
