An aspirant for Nairobi Governorship position Dr. Evans Kidero has assured land lords and land owners in Nairobi that should he be voted in as the governor in the coming elections,he will make sure that the process of approving submissions for construction developments are done at a speedy pace.
While reacting to complaints from the members of the Lucky Summer welfare company in a meeting at a  Nairobi hotel on Friday,September 07 Kidero  promised them that his administration will always give an account of how the revenue collected by the city council is used.
The welfare's chairman Peter Njenga complained of  continued demolitions of houses in the City, terming it as a humiliation to developers and  urged those required to pay land rates and taxes on mortgages to comply with the council as required by the law.
Earlier on Kidero had presented a cheque of Shs 360 000 to one of the top soccer clubs in the country AFC Leopards for winning their two matches recently.
He was accompanied by a prominent businessman Mr Abbas Khalif who promised to give the team Shs 500 000 if they win the league and add them Shs 100 000 if they beat another top team Tusker F.C. on top of the regular Shs 160 000 they are given always when they win a match.
